teaching, worship, community! this week is a little different—a shorter talk from kaitlin, one of our student leaders, on the barrier-breaking gospel and its place in missions, then musical worship, followed by our annual missions auction! all the money goes to help iv’s summer service missions to the dominican republic and uganda! come out for a really good time raising money for a good cause, with bidding and entertaining MCs, etc. if you want to put something up for bid (ie: 1hr salsa lesson, chem101 textbooks, a ride to the airport, dishwashing service), please email jorge at vela0825@gmail.com ASAP with what you have in mind, it’s not too late!

chris nichols, the new england regional director of intervarsity, will be joining us to talk about one of the most asked questions–why pain and suffering? is God present in all of that? invite your friends and share the facebook event!

7pm tonight, SAR101. come tonight to hear tim leary, BU IV grad student staff, speak on the divinity of Jesus.  it promises to be a thought-provoking teaching that challenges both raised-in-the-church Christians as well as those who want to know more about who Jesus is and why so many believe in him…bring your friends! afterwards, join us at expresso royale, uno’s, or dunkin donuts as we hang out over some good food/coffee/desserts!

because of the winter retreat this weekend, there will be no large group this evening. stay tuned for next week, when we hear from BU IVgrad staff, tim leary, on is Jesus really God?

we hope your winter breaks were full of relaxation, happy holidays, home-cooked food, and loads of sleep. get excited for BU intervarsity this semester!

our large group series is based on the essentials of Christianity, taking us back a few steps and examining the basics of the Christian faith — what and why Christians believe as they do. it should provide incite to both i’ve-been-going-to-church-since-i-was-in-my-mother’s-womb Christians as well as those not quite sure what the Christian faith is all about. join us on friday nights at sargent 101, 7pm!

small groups are up and running as well! they are a great way to study the Bible in the context of a smaller, more intimate group. if you weren’t part of one last semester, don’t worry about it..now is a great time to jump in and get involved!
